Ingenix is dedicated to protecting the privacy of the information you provide. We
know that when you purchase products and services from us, you entrust
us with more than your money. You also share personal and financial information
necessary for your transactions and records. We feel it is important for
you to know that we handle the information we receive from you based on
the preferences you provide.
Personal Information
Ingenix collects personal information (such as name, postal address, phone
number, e-mail address) about you from your transaction records.
We occasionally
share postal addresses (but never e-mail addresses, fax and phone
numbers) with a select group of companies whose products we think you
may find of interest.
When you
register with us at ShopIngenix, we place you on our e-mail list to
receive order confirmations, information about your account, and electronic
product information alerts (as applicable, when those e-mail alerts are
part of your product fulfillment), as well as updates about special offers,
discounts and new products. You will always have a clear, easy way to
opt-out within these e-mail communications.
Online
Transactions
We do not try to identify visitors to our World Wide Web site unless they
choose to identify themselves, such as to obtain information about products
or clinical trials.
Our Web site may deposit a small file called a "cookie" on a
visitor's computer hard drive to personalize their experience or track
aggregate site visitation statistics. Ingenix does not and cannot use
cookies to retrieve personal information about you from your computer
unless such information was knowingly and willingly provided by you. Visitors
may choose to use technologies to block such "cookies," but
in some cases they may not have access to the full functionality of the
Web site.
We may record a Web site visitor's Internet Protocol (IP) address for
security reasons and to evaluate how our Web site is being used. We do
not use IP addresses to identify individuals.

The state of California has issued a new rule that affects the way you
receive information by fax from Ingenix. As a result of the rule, our
policy states that after January 1, 2006 Ingenix cannot send certain information
to you via fax without your permission—even if you call and request a fax.
We believe that faxed materials are a useful way to manage your relationship
with Ingenix when it comes to purchases as well as product information
relevant to your coding, billing, and compliance needs.
